Area ✧ suits those whom like nature and want more private space
✦ looks over the river down to the pont du diable and onto the mountains
✦ next to a great 70km greenway; only 20mins easy bike to the gorges for swimming/kayak, 1h bike to bigger villages
✦ village is touristic in the summer with a night market and events, but quiet other times though there's expats and locals to keep some of the retos open
✦ the village has a sports hall and tennis court (there's also one in the now abandoned camping)
✦ access is a bit of a hassle and generally too far for pickups, the mainline in Beziers is 4h30 from Paris 2h from Barcelona, plus 30+mins bus then 30mins pickup/bus; alternatively 2h bus from Montpellier (a couple of times daily)
✦ the local bus service is more regular for getting along the valley/shopping
