Area ✧ good for several towns notably Cahors (25mins train, last 7:30pm), Sarlat (25mins drive), and Brive (45mins train, last 10pm)
✦ several features to explore e.g. underground caves with prehistoric paintings (walk), Rocamadour (45mins drive) and the river lot cliff haulage route (1h drive)
✦ nothing especially notable nearby, nontheless there are some features with the surroundings of Rocamadour being pretty good (25mins+ drive), rich woodlands (20mins drive) and marshlands
✦ in this respect somewhere like Tarascon-sur-Ariege is much better even if rather quieter and lacking towns
✦ dreary winters! Dec-March
has an actual coffee shop, greengrocer, organic shop, supermarkets, many restos
✦ 5mins walk to lovely public garden (but tourists) and a small grassy park, 10mins tennis
✦ lake close would be suitable for sup with own boards
✦ adequate if not brilliant for biking; 15mins train to Souillac is better where also possible to can bike up nice valley to Rocamadour
limited trails start 10mins for a 1h30 circuit or longer with pickup, or 20mins for 1h on a circuit via the like and lanes
can pickup from the Bordeaux train (2h40, last 5:30pm) at Sarlat if making an evening out

✦ part of land has been sold off to a fancy restaurant thus effectively onsite
✦ because of restaurant and reasonable proximity to village some spaces could made be public (lots of tourists pass through)
