✧ well located area having very good variety within reach, but has a dubious climate due to being in the plains with lots of wind and a dreary off season (I've lived on both its sides)
✦ nature is not great in the immediate surroundings being mostly vinyards, canals and little hills, but with a short drive is decent, or longer for impressive
unusally for a village, there's a good public garden and 3 tennis courts
✦ good lively weekly market, and more shops than one might usually expect
✦ village has two streams with year-round water near thus remains green
directly in front of cafes and next to a good brasserie
✦ minimart, 2 restos, bakeries; big weekly market; organic shop; supermarket 10mins walk; more restos at canal
10mins bike/30mins walk small lake (sailing/windsurfing/sup) with a circuit around giving a nearly 2h stroll
✦ there's no actual hikes from the door, decent biking on small hills or larger starting 15–20mins away
✦ 10mins drive for hikes such as at the little gorge at Minerve
✦ the canal is just next to the lake along which Carca or Narbonne can be reached in 2h (so prob with a dropoff rather than there-and-back)
✦ Lezignan 20mins bus twice daily last 7:45pm, so a bit isolated
